Court verdict on wiretapping may be problematic for Ergenekon prosecutors: “A recent decision by the Supreme Court of Appeals which held that legal recordings of phone conversations cannot be entered as evidence if they are not supported by other facts may influence the prosecutors who have been investigating Ergenekon — a crime network with links to the state, including the military, judiciary and media, accused of a number of political murders and attacks designed to trigger an eventual military takeover.”
